Yesterday evening, Lighting of Tomorrow's Rosa Vicent and Andersen Zapata represented Lighting of Tomorrow at an award ceremony held by the City of Oakland Park. At the ceremony, Lighting of Tomorrow was honored with Oakland Park's Proud to Be OP Business Award "for your efforts in promoting the name of our City and contributing to the enhancement of our community."
This marks L.o.T.'s third award in 2019: First receiving internationally acclaimed Build Magazine's Sustainable Building Award in July for expertise in eco-friendly turtle lighting projects along the Florida coast and then receiving the Best of Oakland Park 2019 Award for Best Lighting Expert in August.
Vicent expressed her gratitude to the City for the company's recognition. "We are thrilled to receive this recent award from the City of Oakland Park! Lighting of Tomorrow aims to enhance our communities by making sure we have well lit areas to live, work, and relax. It is an honor to be recognized for this achievement - and we look forward to many years of enhancing our city."
Week of December 4th: Proud to Be OP Business Awards
The City of Oakland Park supports and recognizes local businesses for their dedication to the Oakland Park community, their values and, of course, their Oakland Park pride.
The City recognizes business that:
- Market/brand their business location as Oakland Park;
- Feature Oakland Park in their packaging/corporate identity;
- Engage in community enhancement efforts.
Businesses that receive the Proud to be Oakland Park (P2bOP) business award get bragging rights in the form of a storefront award decal, an award logo to use on company communications and announcements in City publications.
